Chris Brammer
Born in Lincoln, England, Chris Brammer has studied a variety of subjects from electrical engineering to business management. In 1967, he moved from England to Southern Africa, where he formed his own companies and spent 15 years designing and building manufacturing equipment.
Over the past 25 years working in the Casino industry he has lead a number of exciting projects to conclusion, these include:
- As a consultant for the prestigious City of Dreams casino in Macau he set up a TQM system to embrace the service standards of the 7000 employees.
- Appointed Managing Director of Isle of Capri Casinos Ltd. he opened the biggest casino in the United Kingdom and applied the new Gaming Act to the operation.
- As COO of the Finstar Financial group he negotiated for and performed due diligence checks to establish a casino chain of associated companies throughout Latin America for a group of investors.
- He took up the post as General Secretary of the European Gaming Association and with this European industry representative body he met with various Government bodies and members of the industry in Europe to discuss the development of the industry.
- As Vice President of Gaming Operations of Playboy, principally for Europe and Africa, he was responsible for the establishment of gaming properties in those two continents and led the design and building of the Playboy Casino on the Greek Island of Rhodes.
- Appointed General Manager for Casino Magic he established the first private casino in Greece and developed other opportunities for the Company
- He started his casino experience in 1984 with Sun International and worked for the next decade as General Manager at various locations throughout Southern Africa.
He is well known in the casino industry as an innovator in casino management, design and marketing, has used his international experience to develop projects all over the world and is a well known lecturer in Casino operations and management in Europe and America.
In collaboration, he was part of the start-up of the "The Slots Academy" an organization formed to teach the principles of Slots Management to senior management in Europe thereby increasing the standards of this type of operation throughout the region.
His extensive experience in the Gaming industry and the long term contacts that have been formed with the people of the industry are invaluable in representing the industry to Governments, manufacturers, suppliers and other bodies.
